It is with great satisfaction that we can say that the project has reached the high level of maturity where accurate, ultra-lightweight and rigid hulls can be made by any interested person using good quality (not cheap) 3D printers.
As you may have seen elsewhere on this site, the consistency and speed of 3d printing a hull now is astounding. The funny thing is, there appears to be still room for improvement…. but that is the nature of technology and research.
There are basically two parallel pathways being pursued from here.
- Continue the research looking for further refinements and discoveries that can be applied to our beautiful sport.
- Teach others how to do this and become an independent personal manufacturer of their own designs and parts. This will be done through the continuing series of articles written for various publications around the world and also published here.
